Zoe Blunt on Direct Action and the Wild Earth Gathering
At the time of our interview, Zoe had recently descended a tree she was sitting in to do her part to halt the destruction of a sensitive ecosystem. This destruction would pave the way for what passes for development nowadays, a resort, a golf course, condominiums, a bridge, and a highway. Just lovely! She talks with me about this area, near Langford, BC, and her experience with this form of resistance. She also talks about her role in organizing the annual Wild Earth gathering, "a training and networking gathering for activists and community members involved in rainforest protection."
